Dear Nuggets Fans,
Thank you for three great years in the Mile High City. It was an honor playing here and being part of a young, exciting, and close-knit Nuggets team that transformed into a winner. I have no doubt that there are big things ahead and wish the fellas the best. I’m grateful to my teammates, coaches and the Kroenke family for an opportunity I will never forget.
Basketball continues to open amazing doors and introduce me to people and places I could only have dreamed of as a kid. Living in LoDo was a blast, and I’m lucky I had the chance to get to know and be part of a special community, from the congregation at The Summit Church to the late night crowd at Mercantile. I’m grateful to all the people that showed love and made me feel at home. A special thank you to Harrison and Marlowe Crown, Michele Demetriou, Lauren and fam, the Capobiancos, and the Barleys.
Let there be no doubt — Denver is a basketball town. The energy and passion around the Nuggets grows every day and has helped create one of the best home court advantages in the league. I look forward to returning again soon and wish you all the best. And now…I am ready and excited to be a Piston and look forward to joining one of the league’s most storied franchises. One thing I can guarantee is that I will continue to do what I’ve done throughout my career — play hard and play to win. I can’t wait to get to work.
Thanks to everyone for your support.
— Mason
