During his rookie season, Plumlee, now with the Denver Nuggets, started getting an education in investment opportunities from teammates who would share their experiences and knowledge, as well as through a company he was introduced to at the time.
Now, Plumlee is helping to educate the public about some promising startups with his Founder Series, an online interview series which features the founders of a wide variety of startups ranging from education technology to cereal to yachting to cryptocurrency.
The series began two years ago, but has kicked into full gear with the onset of the coronavirus pandemic and the free time it has created for Plumlee during the NBA’s current hiatus. In just the past six weeks Plumlee has interviewed the founders and CEOs of about 15 different early-stage startups in order to help share the work that they’re doing and amplify their young brands.
In light of the pandemic, and the social needs and new realities which have resulted from it, Plumlee has chosen to feature some startups which have a particularly current relevancy.
